In 2004, a group of non-profit organizations, gaming providers, and gaming regulators came together to form the Canadian Partnership for Responsible Gambling (CPRG). The Partnership was formed in order to find and promote effective ways to reduce the risk of problem gambling by engaging in joint research, issue analysis, and information sharing. The first priority of the Partnership was the assembly of reliable and accurate gambling-related information across the country. The result was the Canadian Gambling Digest, an annual report of statistics related to gambling in each of the ten Canadian provinces. This edition of the Digest is the sixth report released to date.
